Re: ok ok I'll do it swine flu
Fri, May 1, 2009 - 10:14 AMIt seems to me that more people have died from the normal flu than from the swine flu. I mean, essentially all flu's are either swine or avian, and the worry that revolved around this one is that it's both (which makes it senseless to call it swine flu lol). It started in mexico city, which is incredibly polluted, the very large portion of the population there are poor and can't receive health care. It's not a good place to get well in, and so the deaths that happened there scared the world, but I think the reality is that we're fine. It has spread to the United States and its affects have been minimal. If you're worried, make sure you're drinking your 2 liters of water a day, wash your hands frequently, and stay warm in cool weather and cool in warm weather (in other words, don't put your body under heavy stress, and try to meet equilibrium). If you do see yourself getting sick, go to the hospital and see your doctor. If you can't afford the visit, and you're really worried, you can consume antiviral herbs. I know that garlic has some antiviral properties. Now, if you're going to consume garlic it's smart to use fresh garlic and it's important that you crush the garlic and let it sit for a minute or so, so that the component chemicals of the garlic can interact, as the highly acidic environment of your stomach can sometimes halt the neccessary interactions that the garlic has with itself once it has been crushed. otherwise, again, if you're sick go to your doctor. You should be fine if you get sick, I wouldn't worry about it -
